Site Updates & Editorial Changelog

A transparent record of content improvements, accuracy reviews, and editorial changes on RoboFixHub. We document what changed, why, and when.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

Why we publish this: We believe users and search engines should be able to verify that this site is actively maintained, that problems are corrected when found, and that content is reviewed regularly — not published once and abandoned. This changelog is our commitment to that standard.

Content accuracy review — top 30 guides updated

Our editorial team completed a full review of the 30 highest-traffic guides. Each article was cross-checked against current manufacturer documentation, verified against community-reported fix success rates, and updated where information had drifted.

  • Added "Related Guides" cross-links to 30 articles to help users find next steps
  • Verified fix success rate claims against latest user-reported data
  • Updated "Last reviewed" dates to reflect April 2026 review cycle
  • Checked firmware-dependent steps for Roomba, Roborock, Eufy, Shark, and Ecovacs
April 15, 2026Trust & Transparency

Editorial standards published and trust signals added

We overhauled our About page to be fully transparent about how guides are researched, what sources we use, and what we do not claim. Every article now displays an editorial note linking to our research methodology.

  • Published full editorial standards on the About page
  • Added editorial note to every guide: "cross-referenced with manufacturer documentation"
  • Added last-reviewed date display on all articles
  • Published safety and liability disclaimer on every post
April 15, 2026Structured Data

Schema.org markup overhauled across all pages

Upgraded structured data across the entire site to conform with Google's latest rich result guidelines. This improves how our content appears in search results and helps Google correctly categorise each page.

  • Article schema upgraded: proper image objects, ISO dates, word count, article section
  • FAQPage schema auto-generated from Q&A sections in articles
  • CollectionPage schema added to all category and tag archive pages
  • Organization + WebSite schema with SearchAction added site-wide

Duplicate and incomplete content removed

Audit of all 226 published guides identified 9 entries with quality issues. These were removed from the site to prevent thin or duplicate content from affecting the quality of our entire library.

  • 6 exact duplicate entries removed (same title and content published twice)
  • 3 placeholder entries removed (referenced content files that did not exist)
  • Site library consolidated to 217 complete, verified guides
April 15, 2026Internal Linking

Internal link structure built across top articles

Previously, articles existed in isolation with no cross-references between related content. This made it difficult for both users and search engines to discover related guides.

  • Added contextual "Related Guides" section to top 30 articles
  • 3 hand-curated links per article — selected for topical relevance, not just category match
  • Links placed before the FAQ section so they appear in the content body

Title diversity and featured content curation

Content audit revealed that 114 of 217 articles shared the exact same title suffix pattern ("Complete Fix Guide"). This is a known signal of programmatic content generation. Titles were updated to be more natural and specific.

  • 114 article titles updated with varied, natural language alternatives
  • Featured posts reduced from 106 (47% of library) to 20 genuinely flagship articles
  • Homepage updated with crawlable topical authority text for all major brands covered
  • Brand guide counts now computed dynamically — no stale hardcoded numbers

What's Coming Next

Our next review cycle will focus on expanding brand coverage for Narwal, Dreame, and Samsung Jet Bot — three brands with growing user bases and limited troubleshooting resources currently available online. We also plan to add video walkthroughs for the five most common charging fixes.
